Obituary for Henley A. Austin
Henley Austin (aka Ken, Kenley or Papa Jackson) of Bronx, NY passed away on December 13th, 2020 at the age of 78. He was born in Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies on January 11, 1942 to parents Vincent Austin and Naomi Jackson. Henley attended Chapelton All Age School. He migrated to the United States and thrived as a painter. Predeceased by his parents, significant other Patricia, sons Gary and Peter Austin, siblings Panchita Matthews, Zelma Austin and Donald Harding.
He is survived by his siblings Norma Murray, Marcella, Pauline Yvonne, Christine and Owen Harding; Pearl, Roy, Jimmy and Glen Austin, Also survived by his children Caroline, Fay Julie, Pansy, Cleveland, Dale, Kyle and more, grand children, great grand children and other relatives.
Henley will remain forever in our hearts.
Visitation: January 3, 2021 4pm-5pm.
Celebration of Life Service: January 3, 2021 5pm
Contributions in his memory may be made to the New York City Food Bank, a virtual food drive by his grandson Ryan Mattison that goes directly to fight to end hunger in New York City.
