Ismael Rivera Ortiz was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a retired Postal Worker. His favorite pastimes included carpentry, baseball, and fishing. Born in Corozal, Puerto Rico, he was one of eight children. He was married for 66 years to his love, Margarita. He loved working and being in nature. He loved going for walks and meeting new people. He made friends wherever he went. He loved to make people laugh, and brighten their day. He helped at the Senior Center calling bingo numbers and playing dominoes with his friends. He was the protector of his family and always there for them in whatever they needed. He celebrated life and was there for every milestone. He spoiled his granddaughters and most recently his great granddaughters. He was grateful for the precious moments God provided. He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, and many, many nieces and nephews. He will be forever loved and missed by his family. Rest in Peace.
