Pops and I became a lot closer over the past 3 years ever since he gave me his blessing to marry his daughter Melanie. I remember that day like it was yesterday. He gave me a nice long talk about marriage, how to be a great husband, a father, a family man, and more importantly, how to be patient with his daughter no matter what...lol. I took his advice to heart and I have to say he was 100% right about everything. I will continue to follow his advice as he was a very smart, wise man. I admired and respected him so much on how he took care of his family, and made sure each and every family member was okay. If they needed anything, he was always there. That's just the type of man, father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather he was, he was the man! I'm happy and grateful we got to bond over the past 3 years, and it really meant a lot to me to actually call him pops. Pops - I promise to take care of your daughter and be there for your family if they ever need anything, just like you did. I know your hanging in paradise with uncle Sam, my dad, my grandparents, my aunt, and the rest of the family. They will take care of you up there. You will be missed and never forgotten. With much love and respect, your Son-in-law, Brian.

Everyone who was lucky enough to know my dad will tell you he was a special person. He was always there for everyone willing to go above and beyond. If you even mentioned something you liked or wanted he would go out of his way to get it for you. Reading these memories of my dads co workers fills me with joy and pride to know that he has touched so many lives the way he touched ours everyday. The world lost a great man, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, uncle, brother, son and so much more. He set the standards high of what a man, husband, father should be. Although my heart is broken and I will miss you everyday. I know heaven gained an angel. Till we meet again in heaven. I love you daddy.

Artie - I will never forget you. I always enjoyed working the trains with you - all the fun and laughs you provided. I especially remember looking forward to having you on my train as you made your trek to BJ’s to replenish your fabulous (and much appreciated) snackbar. You always had a dolly to transport the goodies back to GCT. Frequently Anthony was with you. I just loved sitting with you and laughing till I cried.
You will be missed by all.
My condolences to the family. Artie was a warm, fun loving man and it was a gift to have known him.
